Fender Tanqueray Stratocaster - 1988 SOLD!

This is quite a rare guitar! In around 1988 Fender teamed up with the Tanqueray Gin company for a cross promotion campaign and the result was this Tanqueray Green Stratocaster. Apparently, people who bought the gin had the chance to win the Limited Edition Tanqueray Stratocaster! This was a short-lived promotion and there were very few guitars made. The numbers I've heard about put production at around 100-250 guitars!!

This guitar has been played and shows the expected bumps and bruises. It has some paint chips and the burn mark on the headstock (Clapton wannabe?!) but plays and sounds fantastic. I believe the guitar is original except for the pickguard which is a new Fender replacement.

1988 Limited Edition Strat. A very rare guitar.

The colour is hard to show properly, it's similar to the "7-Up Green" used on the Clapton strats but not metallic.

The back has some dings and chips. The back plate is gone. Lost years ago.

It's a great sounding Strat with all the proper sounds. There's something about the 80's Strats!
